The couple also made a major gift and a sizeable estate commitment benefiting the School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

As a former senior vice president with experience in human resources, operations and career management and transition, John is well qualified to offer coaching and résumé reviews. And he can relate to military veterans because he served six years in the U.S. Navy.

"Student-veterans need to understand that what they did in the military will enhance any business they work for," he says.

How can you help our students? Name the College as a beneficiary to your estate.  By naming the College as a beneficiary to a will, trust, retirement, life insurance policy or other account (e.g., brokerage, savings or checking), you may enjoy many benefits including the ability to control the gift throughout your lifetime and a possible reduction in the value of your total estate. Additionally, you can set forth how your gift should be used (a specific purpose, an unrestricted gift or a blend of the two) and you can designate a specific amount, a percentage of the overall estate, or another set of conditions to make sure your gift has the impact that you prefer.
